like oh my god...i'm going to my 20th high school reunion in two weeks and I was asked to bring some music. I'd like to spice things up...so I'm looking for 80's remixes. Give me what you have ... or send me to iTunes, Napster, beatport ... or where ever i can download some bitchin' remixes. I really want some prince remixes. I know they are out there...I just can't seem to find them. I would love anything that may just have obvious samplings too...even from the 60's...70's...90's....even mash-ups.

The room is good size, very sunny, in a charming garden cottage. It's only a half a block from Safeway on Grand Av. You would have a space off the street to park as well as FREE laundry.The rent is only $650+ $800 deposit that can be split into two payments. Advice on finding house music for hula hoop instructional dvds?

I'm hoping for advice.

I am seeking original house music tracks (preferably without too many lyrics) which can be included in a hula hooping instructional dvd I am making. Happier, juicy, soulful house with elements of disco -- basically any house music that makes you smile widely and tap your foot and shake your head.

Do you have any sugggestions on royalty free sources of such groovy music, or have leads on any friends who produce house music who may be open to donating a song to this creative project. I don't have any cash, but I can give you a copy of the final instructional dvds and a handcrafted pro hoop when the project is done as well as credits on the dvd and links from the website.

What we can do help rebuild the city of New Orleans is to donate 10% of the ticket sales for the Xingolati ~ Groove Cruise event from Sept 1 - Sept 21st. Donations will go directly to the American Red Cross. In addition, we will be donating 20 cabins aboard the ship to non-profit organizations, radio stations and others. 100% of the proceeds from those cabins will go to the relief effort. burning man is home to my utopian heart>of<heart. but within burning man, the el circo dome has been to many, a sanctuary and the core connectore to the place of deepest release<<<>>>experience.

all of these djs, the sound, the artists, the visualistas, the decor/altar-iste, are gifting their talents for the love of the above mentioned.

just in case u didn't already know, el circo comes from the dedicated hard werk of many volunteers, and funds are scraped out of pocket; i.e.> burning man does not fund us.

i'm only trying to convey my appreciation of the immense fact of giving that stems out all crazy in all aspects of this phenomenon. it gives and gives...

so let us all give it up like crazy and get everyone we know to come and joyfully donate their $15 bucks, for not only a great time that nite, but to help continue the miracullous existence of the temple of ultra GOODTIMES!!!!

a few people have told me that if i bring my ms2000, line mixer and PC to the burn that it will be destroyed by the [corrosive alkaline] dust.
how then do people get freaky? is this just a risk people take or what? are there secrets to keeping one's gear safe from this stuff? cause i'm attending this year -first time- and really wanna bring my gear.

Hardkiss, for an exclusive SF performance (one night only; it's all his schedule would allow!). He's played for us three times before in Boston and we believe is responsible for (at least) one of the best sets ever at The Phoenix Landing, not to mention repeatedly blowing our minds on various dancefloors since 1993. Biography: Robbie Hardkiss

In the Early 90's, Robbie Hardkiss and his "brothers" Scott and Gavin
helped pioneer the American electronic music scene with their ground
breaking record label Hardkiss Music. They quickly joined the ranks of the
domestic DJ elite, and in 1995 reached legendary status with the release
of their classic album, "Delusions of Grandeur." In addition to his
Hardkiss productions, Robbie has released music under the names Little
Wing and Boozy+Swan. The success of his original material has lead to
remixing projects for a diverse group of heavy hitting artists, including
Elton John, Duke Ellington, Lords of Acid, Detroit Grand Pubahs and
Q-Burns Abstract Message. In addition to his critically praised production
work, Robbie has become an internationally respected DJ, playing his
signature funked-up house sound regularly throughout North America and as
far away as the UK, Europe, South Africa, and Hong Kong. In 2003, Robbie
was signed to the world-renowned London based label, Classic. His debut
12" release, "Everything is Changing", has been dubbed a "classic" by

Profile: Redlight Music

Redlight has been one of Boston's preeminent event organizers for the better part
of a decade. Their weekly party at The Phoenix Landing ran for seven and a
half years, built the venue from obscurity into the hub of New England's
underground scene, and championed diversity within the dance music format;
playing host to countless global heavyweights including Derrick Carter, Rob
Mello, Funk D'Void, DJ Hell, Tiga, Christian Smith, Marco Carola, Chris
Liebing, and Mixmaster Morris. Redlight is also known for a legendary
series of warehouse parties in the late 90's which focused on uniting a
community fractured by genrefication and which consistantly drew crowds of

Alright you party people out there. Red Melon once again pulls the proverbial rabbit out of the hat for an ULTRA SPECIAL episode of our "Wind-Up" Thursday residency at the legendray End-Up. First it was Darren Emerson, now Josh Wink, both first timers on the awesome End-Up EAW sound system. As those of you who caught him when he played for Red Melon last year at Mighty can attest, Josh successfully straddles the tenuous tightrope between underground ‘street-cred’ and broader appeal and is among the fortunate few global jocks to pack nightclubs around the world on a consistent basis. Of course, this night should be no exception.

Josh will be making a pit stop at our intimate corner of the world in between gigs in Paris and the UK before heading back to Ibiza for summer stints at Pacha and Space. It's an absolute treat to have him here and we hope you'll all join us to show him what a proper Thursday night at the End-Up is all about!

In order to kickstart my new monthly, I thought I'd post some info here. I'll be playing every second wednesday at Nikki's from now until "?" Nikki's is a legendary little club on Lower Haight street with a great vibe. I'll be presenting you each month with some of my newest tracks performed in unique and experimental ways. There will also be an opening performance piece and plenty of mayhem for those so inclined.

This month's theme is:
-Anthropomorphism: genetic engineering as an acceptible form of reflective sculpture-

"Anthropomorphism, also referred to as personification or prosopopeia, is the attribution of human characteristics to inanimate objects, animals, forces of nature, and others. "Anthropomorphism" comes from two Greek words, anthrÿpos, meaning human, and morphï, meaning shape or form."

In these times of the advancement of genetic engineering, we see a world suddenly changed from within. A world strangely altered to serve and compliment humankind. Advancements is sound and music technology have in similar ways altered the dreamscape we experience in waking life. Join me as we explore this dilemna. Energy/resource exchange/barter on each others' projects, to help keep budgets down and learn from each other.

Can be in the form of help with promo, equipment, set up/pull down, tech support, graphics, coaching, or what ever each other needs or finds useful for projects.

Please Note: This is not for exchange for tickets to your show or copies of video, cd etc., that should be included as a given. We are real producers needing real resources and help to get our projects happening in exchange for the same on your projects.

A good way to start is to introduce yourself and announce what you need and what you have to offer. Please include your location and details about your project.
